comment:Great IQ with Minolta colors. Stopped down, a reasonably sharp wide angle lens. A solid build. A handy walk-around, I'd call it a "pocket lens." For landscape, architectural and artistic purposes, the AF 24 f2.8 is ideal. I don't recommend shooting any vintage Minolta lenses directly into the sun, but the hood does serve well to reduce flare. I recommend this classic lens to anyone looking for a Wide angle match for the A850.
