ownership:I own this lens
compared to:MINOLTA AF 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 I find them equal in sharpness, but contrast is better on 28-70 lens.
price paid:used $ 600
positive:The MINOLTA colors and contrast shines with this lens. Gives very good picktures at all apertures. Nice bookee. Quick autofocus - never hunts.
negative:Heavy! Best with the sun from behind.
(sharper when stopped down to f4)
comment:I don't use this on APS-C cameras. IT is very heavy to log around, though it is made as a tank for proffessionals and it will last for centuries......
