ownership:I own this lens
compared to:nothing special
price paid:300€ (used, fair)
positive:I think it´s quiet sharp in general, softer corners, stop down to 5.6 for better results.
negative:Build quality is not good enough for decades. The finish gets worn off sooner or later. "Schneideritis" possible. The focus rubber ring can blow up too much. Really big and heavy.
comment:What makes me really astonished are the colors. Or whatever it is. The results are so beautiful. Something warm and clean, realistic at the same time. Of course the pictures have to be adjusted to enfold their potential. Vignetting is just a little. Can not say anything about distortion without a lens profile for my A7RII + LEEA4. I think it´s worth every cent and I´d love to buy a fine A+++ grade copy someday.
