ownership:I used to own this lens
compared to:Tamron 28-75mm f2.8
price paid:500 euro
negative:Not sharp wide open
Long mfd
Slow af
comment:Let me stress I think a got a bad sample of this lens, but none the less here's my take.

My copy was never sharp wide open and needed stopping down to f4.5-5.6 to get reasonable sharpness. The MFD is restrictively long making in door use awkward, the auto focus speed is also quite slow. Nice bokeh and colours cannot make up for all this lens' shortcoming all in all a huge disappointment. IMHO give this lens a miss get the tamron 28-75mm, half the price, sharp wide open, faster AF and a far more usable MFD.
