comment:it is a wonderful walk around lens, especially for aps-c format. As other reviewer mentioned, this lens is extremely sharp, even at f/2. The color is true and pleasing. And it is amazing that how compact this lens is. Although it is not a full metal lens, you can still feel that it would last fowever. The distortion is not visible on aps-c (not sure about the full-frame but I am eager to try it out). It blows the f/2.8 version thousands of miles away.
The bad part is that this lens, especially the RS version, is extremely difficult to find. The price on ebay is getting higher and higher (the positive side is that it holds value well). It is a must have for minolta AF lens collector. I was lucky that I got a mint like new copy of it.
