ownership:I own this lens
compared to:400mm f4.5 G, 80-200 f2.8 HS
price paid:1000 USD used
positive:Relitively light and small (compared to f2.8). Sharp wide open, solid build.
negative:none really.
comment:Great tele lens. I love using it. It is a good choice for those who need high quality telephoto but don't want to lug 400mm G or 300mm f2.8 around. I would take this on a trip if i was expecting great need for it. Has solid build, great color, sharp wide open, and pleasure to use in all respects.
