ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta 100-300 D APO
Big Beercan
price paid:1500 USD
positive:So very sharp!
Fast focusing
Excellent build
negative:Expensive filters
comment:This lens is one peice of work! Pictures are very sharp across the stops, colors are true to life. Yes, there is CA wide open, but it can be controlled by stopping down.

It's heavy, but not listed as a negative because I knew it would be. You don't get a lens like this (All metal) with the weight of the kit lens. The only real negative is the price of drop in filters. Using a front CPL filter is just about impossible with the hood on.

The price of this baby keeps going up. If you want one and can find one, now's the time.
