comment: | Purchased off eBay several months ago, in very good shape, excellent optics and not a scratch on the body. The zoom is a little tight. It came with the hood, polarizer, UV filter, and endcaps. I couldn't really afford some of the other more famous Minolta lenses, so settled on this one, 35-105 F3.4-4.5. Wow! I haven't taken it off, except for some indoor closeups. Even then, I'm hesitant to switch lenses and try to work around the fairly long MFD of around 5ft/1.5m. Tends to hunt very little with the A65 in AF mode, and snaps into focus quickly. I'm still learning the manual focus business in macro mode, but I've gotten some good shots. The bokeh and color are the real thrillers with this lens. The in-focused subjects are very sharp if I nail it, but the rest of the scenes are consistently magnificent. |
