ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta AF28-135
price paid:60 CAN
Relatively small.
Built like a tank.
Nice bokeh for a zoom.
negative:Some funky distortion at 35mm.
comment:I have owned 3 copies of this lens - all performed great. I was keeping a spare for a while, but sold it when I decided the lens would likely last longer than me. Great walkaround for FF. Great Minolta classic rich colours. This lens is equally sharp as the amazing 28-135 with better bokeh. Its a toss up which I choose on a day out with a general purpose lens. I go for the handshake when I want more range and only want one lens. This lens is smaller and lighter and I like people shots better with it than the handshake. Highly recommended.
