comment: | This lens is one i will probably never part from. It's always plenty sharp even viewed 100%. I haven't pixel peeped in the corners at wide apertures though, but I can say I've never noticed any softness after using this lens the most out of around 6 for one year. It renders contrasty and colorful as soon as there's a bit of light. Flare control isn't as bad as I expected and mostly happen when the sun is in the corner of the picture (in or out) and when it occurs it doesn't look weird. I have lots of pictures with setting sun in the frame and no flare at all. It vignettes a bit wide open at 35mm, but i actually like the character it has then. And AF is fast with the LA-EA4 on Sony A7ii. Only downside is the MFD and the minimum focal length that's sometime insufficient, but that's to be expected. I had it very cheap and as new, but it's definitely well worth the 100€ it sells for these days. |
