ownership:I own this lens
compared to:CZ16-80, 24/2.8, 28-85/3.5-4.5, 35-70/4, 35-80/4-5.6
price paid:250€ new
positive:Very sharp; Built like a tank; Good macro
negative:Heavy; Macro only manual focus
comment:Bought this to replace the kit lens I got on my 7000i. Used it with great results, as general lens, for macro and for portraits.
Now that I have the CZ16-80 I do not use it anymore. Maybe I have to take it out for portraits again, but it could be that also then the 16-80 is even better. Unless I insist on 105 mm wide open, which is really good on the 35-105. Or I buy an a700 one day and my daughter gets the KM 5D with 35-105…
