Focus speed
negative:35mm limits use as a walkaround lens on APS-C
comment:I've been pleasantly surprised by how sharp this lens is. Vivid colours too. I actually like the powerzoom but it does have it's drawbacks when dealing with moving targets.

35-200mm doesn't quite cut it as a single lens solution on APS-C but it makes a nice companion to a 17-35mm (update: even better on FF and is my favourite travel lens).

An interesting feature of this lens is the focus speed. It is very fast to focus, making it excellent for fast moving action - sports, dogs ect.
