positive:Dirt cheap, great quality.I find the older standard series Mino-AF lenses superior & closer to the G models than the ones produced just before Sony took over. This example possesses what I coin "Minolta Magic", a combination of color&contrast you must experience to appreciate.(mind you the robust color is unique, more than meets the eye) Macro button is a Godโ€™s send, but tricky to master the techniques to best utilize it.
negative:Zero IQ, can't fully utilize the modern camera features.Min. focus awful, hunts even in medium light, manual is focus best.
comment:Good old lens, slow performance, inconsistent results, nice to have if you get a great price and like experimenting. Iโ€™ve taken it on vacations and was disappointed. My experience has proven lenses made to match the modern cameraโ€™s tech win over the nuances of the old classics.
