comment:On FF this lens is great, the focal length means it excels at full length portraits or of subjects around the size of 2 or 3 human beings. There is softness at 1.4 in my copy, commonly people say the f2 is sharper. However at f2 this lens is very sharp and if you use it in the right circumstances you get great results at 1.4. There's vignetting and some fringing with the old coatings, but easily taken out in PP. If I were rating out of 10 overall I'd give 10, it's just the ratings here on Dyxum that dictate I can't give 5 out of 5 for flare etc.

Can't over emphasise how nice the images are off this gem.
