negative:Flare resistance is not up to modern standard
Very extreme corners never get excellent on 42mp
comment:This is a lens that has stood the test of time. Still works great on my A99II 42 mp sensor. If you are pixel peeping only the extreme corners are not excellent even when stopped down. Still very much useful wide open in the center.
It's not bad considering flare resistance but as expected not up to modern lens standards.
But all is forgotten when you start shooting and see the results. Colors and contrast are excellent. It's a very flattering lens. It puts a smile on your face when reviewing you shots.
These are sought after and you still pay a lot more that most other older Minolta glass, but I can see why.
Highly recommended, mine is a keeper.
