ownership:I own this lens
compared to:CZ16-35, CZ24-70
price paid:around 50 EUR
positive:Sharp from corner to corner when stopped down, corners a bit soft wide open but this is more than compensated by the way the center is beautifully rendered. Lovely bokeh front and back.
MFD of just 25 cm.
negative:AF is twitchy on A99, but MF and focus peaking is convenient. Bigger AF ring would have been nice, particularly when using LEE adapter rings the AF ring is hard to use.
comment:A Minota classic. Wonder why Sony didn't rebrand it like the 20 and the 28 (that are not in the same league though). I picked one up in the early digital days when Minolta was going nowhere. With CZ16-35 and CZ24-70 in the bag it gets too little use.
