ownership:I own this lens
compared to:CZ16-35, CZ24-70
price paid:around 50 EUR
positive:Sharp from corner to corner when stopped down, corners a bit soft wide open but this is more than compensated by the way the center is beautifully rendered. Lovely bokeh front and back.
MFD of just 25 cm.
negative:AF is twitchy, but MF and focus peaking is convenient. Bigger AF ring would have been nice, particularly when using LEE adapter rings the AF ring is hard to use.
comment:A Minota classic. Wonder why Sony didn't rebrand it like the 20 and the 28 (that are not in the same league though). I picked one up in the early digital days when Minolta was going nowhere. With CZ16-35 and CZ24-70 in the bag it gets too little use.
