comment:This lens is a surprise to me. I used to always use my 35 1.4, but came a cross this for an ok price. So I thought lets try it and see what all the fuss is about. Most likely I will sell it and keep the 35 1.4.

The result is that I have sold my 35 1.4 and moved over to this one. In my opinion in terms of optics this is sharper or as sharp as the 35 1.4. It is one stop slower, but significantly smaller... so there are trade offs. I do not think the price difference is that big these days.

This lens performs similar to the 35 1.4 as the 100 2 to the 85 1.4. I kept this one and the 85 1.4...
