ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta AF 300mm F2.8 HS APO G with TC 1.4x APO II, 20 mm longer, image quality slightly lower.

Sony FE 5.6-6.3/200-600 G OSS. Hugely more practical, slower.
price paid:EUR 1200
positive:AF on A7RM4 and LA-EA5 is snappy and accurate, same for A7M3 and LA-EA4r. Works fine on A99. Robust all metal build. Minolta colours.
negative:Vignettes in the extreme corners on LA-EA5 and LA-EA4r (quite unexpectedly there appears to be interference). No troubles on A-mount.
comment:Sharp wide open, very sharp at F5.6. Contrary to other reviews I like the lens hood mechanism, simple but effective.

I bought this lens (like its 200/2.8 and 300/2.8 family members) mainly because of nostalgic sentiments, call me a lens collector, but using them is a feast and using them I will.
