ownership:I own this lens
compared to:To Minolta AF 500mm F8 Reflex, faster and sharper
To Minolta AF 80-200mm F2.8 APO G HS, slower, better dispersion
To Sony 70-200 F2.8 G (A mount),slower

at Sony α7IV with LA-EA5, Minolta α7
price paid:782.69USD,5555RMB
positive:Very sharp, with very fast focusing speed during the day, and almost no difference in central image quality between F4.5 and F8. The focus limiter is very useful. The design of the light shield is reasonable, and the focus ring protector is practical.
negative:Very heavy, and the tripod ring is not in the center of gravity position, making handheld shooting very laborious. When using this lens at Minolta α7, it is difficult to focus in low light, but on Sony α7IV with LA-EA5 it's ok.
comment:It still works good, and really cheap in China.
Maybe still a good and economical choice for nature photography.
