positive: | Sharp but no razor even at f1.4 on an a7RII. More than adequate though in my opinion. At f2 it's up there with anything I've seen. Autofocus works fast on the LA-EA4 A to E Mount adaptor. Colours are sensational. Bokeh at f1.4 is spectacular |

comment: | A great lens from a era when manufactures were dedicated to quality. My copy was made in 1998 and mint condition. I've recently swapped from Canon to Sony and retained my Canon and Zeiss lenses. It's hard to justify buying a new 50mm f1.4 when there's vintage quality like this. The colour rendition of the Minolta 50mm f1.4 lens is wonderful and something that pixel peepers should keep in mind, it's not all about sharpness. |
