comment:Found this little gem in a second hand market, and i knew i had to have it.

The lens initially had a lot of dust inside the inner elements which was concerning, but i bought it anyway. Ended up pulling it apart, after a strong coffee and some courage (since I've never done it before) and found it very easy to clean out.

It is a little soft at f1.4 and has fringing, but it all clears up at f2. Much sharper at f1.7 than the Minolta 50 f1.7 model wide open.

It definitely is an upgrade from the other model and if at a good price, should be bought if found.
