positive: | Excellent bokeh, amazingly sharp (starting from F2). |
negative: | Hunts for focus sometimes (rarely, but happens). A bit soft at F1.4. |
comment: | I got this lens off ebay at 140euros. In my opinion you cannot even compare it with the lens kit at 50mm (1.5x -> 75mm) on the 5D. Highly recommended, especially for low light situations and for portraits (still, a better suitable choice for portraits would probably be the KM 35mm/F1.4 G, because of the 5D crop factor you actually get 75mm). |
