positive:- sharp, sharp, sharp !
- nice contrast
negative:-AF a little bit too slow for me, but good for a macro
comment:This lense is really good for macro.
I used it mainly for portraiture in the past but now I am using a Sony 50mm@f1.8. The 50mm macro is sharpest but the AF is too slow to catch my kids.

I put also only 4 for the build but frankly speaking, even if it has more plastic than the old version, the build is very good.

I compared the old and the RS version. Optically, I did not detect any difference !

I also compared both macro 50mmf3.5 and 50mmf2.8. the f3.5 is maybe slightly better à f3.5 but same when you step down.
