positive:Sharp, versatile, nice ring, focus limiter.
negative:You have to be on top of your subject to get 1:1
comment:I'm surprised this lens hasn't been reviewed, it's just as good as the 100/2.8 RS, just of a different focal length; some might say a more general and versatile focal length.

I'd claim this to be one of the most usefeul lenses money can buy, especially as you don't need much money to buy it. If you treat it as a 50mm that can go down to 1:1 then you're all set for a day of general photography; especially if you use the perfectly usable focus-limiter to stop it searching.

Sharpness, as in all the Minolta macros, is second to none.
