ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony 50/1.4
Minolta 50/1.7
Sigma 70/2.8 Macro
price paid:150 USD (used)
positive:very sharp (center)
vivid, pleasant colors,
good AF,
no distortions
negative:F/3.5 only,
soft at corners (FF)
comment:Colors are pleasant and saturated, esp. in macro shots. More impressive than colors of Sigma 70/2.8. Good lens for close-up (1:2) and architecture shots. The weak point of this lens is low image quality at full-frame corners - F/8 needed to obtain good peripheral sharpness.
