comment:I was going to buy the well regarded 50mm F2.8 instead, but then I found this little gem for about the same money but in like new condition. Since this lens was introduced as a cheaper (and lesser quality) alternative to the F2.8, I hesitated to buy it. I'm glad I did. Everything is well controlled and the glass is sharp and produces beautiful, distortion free, colorful images.

This lens is amazing. Super sharp (if F2.8 is sharper, I seriously must have it). I figured, I can get the F2.8 at anytime since there are plenty of them around. This one hardly comes around and rarely in "like new" condition - had to buy it and absolutely love it!

If you find one - BUY IT, DON'T THINK TWICE!
