ownership:I used to own this lens
compared to:Minolta 70-210/4
Minolta 75-300/4.5-5.6 new
tamron 55-200/4-5.6
price paid:60 eur
positive:Pleasing minolta colors and bokeh
quite sharp
3.5/70 !!
negative:corner sharpness at 70mm,
hood is a must or expect flare

comment:Small and light lens, with image quality comparable to beercan. At the long end this lens outperforms beercan, at the short end beercan has better corner sharpness. Beercan produces better bokeh. F3.5@70mm makes it good portrait lens.

Build quality is good, same as minolta Minolta 75-300/4.5-5.6 "new" - with distance scale and focus lock button. Easy to attach hood.
