comment:I found this lens to be much better than the Minolta - AF 75-300 F4.5-5.6 II that I previously owned (traded it in on this one). It has proven to be faster and sharper over the entire focal length. You give up some focal length over the 75-300, but my results have been far superior.

Because of the length of this lens I did have to buy an external case to attach to my bag, but it been more than worth. The Beercan has lived up to the hype for me and is a great lens to pick-up for a beginner.
