comment: | Can't really add much to previous reviews. This lens constantly amazes me, and every time I have to leave it behind (usually because of the weight/bulk factor) I miss it badly. Combined with the 7D, which is itself no stranger to a pie, this lens is a serious heft. I love it in some ways (great to handle, stops you from blowing away on windy days) but loathe it in others (strap that combo to your neck on a walkabout and you're getting home three inches shorter than when you left). A bit of CA wide open but nothing to get one's knickers in a twist about. Despite its little foibles, I wouldn't change this lens for the world. |
