comment: | Is soft at F4, need to step down at least F5 to get up to expectation sharpness. Compare to Canon 70-200 F4, Beercan is much cheaper than it. Sell it after I bring in the 70-400G. 26/4/2012 update: Get 2nd copy of beercan as weight of 70-400G is overkill for portrait shoot. Manage to find a sharp copy with wide open after tested several lenses. The optic performance is much better compared with my 1st copy, no front / back focusing on this lens make the sharpness on par across the range with wide open. Furthermore, DIY to extend the hood to further improve on the flare performance. Good to keep a copy if u manage to get a sharp copy. |
