comment:this is the BEST lens i have owned! Optically it is much superior to the 70-200 f2.8 sony. The colors this lens produce is simply adorable, having used the nikons, canons and of course sony...and dozens of lenses across various brands, I can say that this lens is simply the best I have ever owned! the weight is not a problem; it is smaller than the sony 70-200 f2.8 and fits my bag much more comfortably. The minimum focusing distance is 6 foot and that is sometimes an issue for indoor shots, but it becomes a non-issue if I move back a few steps :) The AF is noisy and sometimes hunts. Nothing too distracting, but having owned a sony 70-200 f2.8, this lens sounds much noisier, but looking as the picture quality, ANYTHING is worth for owning this lens.
