ownership:I own this lens
compared to:70-210 f4 = it is just much better in all respects.
price paid:used $ 1100
positive:The sharpest zoom I own. Sharp even at f2.8. Autofocus never hunts.
negative:Heavy
comment:This is a proffesional lens - hence the price is high. But you get what you pay for, this zoom gives me stunning picktures. But as it is rather heavy I do not walk more then 5 meters away from my car with it.(!) It is worth the money. You will need the hood, often they come without it - don't worry you can buy nice cheap 72mm hoods from China - no problem.

Later: the diaphragm is moving slow! I can't fix it myself. Had it fixed at B&H but the problem came back - Now I can only use the lens with my A900 in "mirror up" mode.......
