comment:Wanted a Mid zoom lens with constant 2.8 aperture, and compared sony, sigma and Tamron, and wasn't satisfied with sigma and tamron and didn't want to pay the Sony price.

Found this Mint Minolta and have it on my A580 and it works very nice. Colors are nice, speed is ok (not great, but ok) and it does hunt at times. Its built like a tank and heavy.

I have found an nice lens that sigma and Tamron at the moment can't really beat. Its a nice lens to have.
