comment:I wanted a faster zoom than the 70-400mm G, but my budget did not stretch to the 70-200mm G, so I bought this lens on Ebay from SK Photo in Japan. It was not cheap, but it was in absolute mint condition. This is one lens I cannot see myself selling. It works great on both the A77 and A99, the autofocus is fast and the build quality is excellent. The lens is compact for its focal length range and balances well on the camera. I used to have the Minolta 200mm F2.8, but I much prefer the zoom.
DxO Optics Pro even has a module for this lens, so I see no reason to upgrade to the 70-200mm F2.8 G SSM.
