• Amazing bokeh

negative:• Can hardly be repaired
• Subject to chromatic aberration (easily fixed in PP)
comment:I tried many lenses before I found this gem but there was always something I did not like. As soon as I began to use the Minolta 80-200 f:2.8, I knew I found the one I was looking for. Sharpness, colors and bokeh are nothing less than outstanding. I mainly use it wide open on full frame bodies (A900 and A850) for concert photography and it does a great job. It does not feel like SSM lenses: when it locks focus, you feel it in your hands! But it is fast! And accurate! It definitely is one of the best lenses I have ever owned and worth every Euro I paid for it.
