ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sony 70-300G SSM
Sigma 50-150EX II
Sony 16-80
Minolta 24-105
Minolta 500mm Reflex
Sony A700
price paid:£450
positive:Built like a tank
Fairly compact
Rapid Focus lock-on
negative:Slight CA at edge of frame (at f5.6)
comment:Bought to go with my A850 and nicely balanced combo. Came as an absolute minter with the hood.
Compared to 70-300G not a lot in it.Both sharp. Less CA with 70-300G.
Note seems a step up from my stalwart A700, Sigma 50-150 2.8 combo.
