Stunning 3D images
Commands high price/ also value
comment:On a par with the quality of my 35mm G Original, but easier to compose. I find its portrait images to be stunningly 3D with lush OOF at my command. The balance of the lens on the A850 is perfect for working around a subject, much less wrist fatigue as compared to sessions with the 28-70mm G. My investment in the 35mm and 85mm Minolta G glass was a huge step. I recommend adding the Minolta AF 85 f/1.4 GD to any A mount photographer who is looking for a serious portrait/art lens. The search may be difficult, but well worth it. The colors are absolutely breathtaking.
