positive:It is razor sharp at all apertures, has that magical Minolta colour, the best bokeh I have seen, and is beautifully engineered.
negative:There are none that I have experienced.
comment:This lens is what pleasure in photography is all about. It makes you just want to go out and find things or people to photograph. It is probably one of the most perfect portrait lenses in existence, although it shines in other areas as well. It is without doubt the best lens that I have ever either owned or used and I am a lens-aholic, having acquired all of the original Minolta primes, zooms and teles with exception of the 600mm. I truly believe that it is impossible to take a bad photograph with it. It is joy to own and use, so much so that I have two copies - just in case.
