| compared to: | Compared to my friend's Tamaron equivalent, it holds up fairly well given the price difference. The Tamron was slighly sharper at long end, slighly less at short. The flare was better controlled on the Tamron. |

| positive: | Love this lens! Lives on my camera about 95% of time. Perfect for studio work as the zoom range is very convenient for full-body and headshots. Very sharp wide open, super sharp at F4. |
