comment:Bought this lens online for a bargain (¥20.000).
When it arrived, immediatly I was impressed with the look and the build quality.
Read about focusing issues online, and sure enough mine was waaay out.
To get a relatively sharp focus on an object 2ft away, had to set the lens to infinity.
So as per internet tutorials, I measured a subject at 2ft away, focused it (at infinity) loosened the 3 smalle scews under the focus ring, and moved the focus ring to 2ft.
Boom, I now have an incredibly sharp lens! Focus at 1ft is tack sharp, as is infinity.

Love this lens now, don't want to take it off! The colours, contrast is all very decent, easily comparing to high end lenses!

Mine is the "CSII" version that supposedly has updated optics and a removable hood.

At 3.5, the shots are very usable, sometimes appear quite sharp (not what i read elsewhere?) but from 5.6, this lens shines.

Beautiful lens once adjusted, I think it should be in everyones camera bag!
