I own the Rokinon variant of this lens about 4-5 days.
I'm really surprised from the optical quality for this type of lens.
I find it very sharp even wide open, the build quality is great, the focus ring is smooth.
The flare control and CA are good too.

On A700 works really good in Aperture priority, the camera sets the correct shutter speed.
When You catch so much in the frame sometimes is really hard to keep some parts from blowing and get the perfect exposure, I use AEL like spot metering on the brightest part of the frame and then re-frame the shot.

I give 4 for build rating only because the lens cap, it's really chunky.
There is not electronics, so You don't have aperture info in the exif, its always f/1.
