positive: | Sharp. Very sharp. |
negative: | No stabilisation Heavy Expensive |
comment: | Longest f1.4 lens available for e-mount. Very sharp and produces lovely portrait pictures. Yes, it's expensive, but the results are great. Sigma have excluded any form of stabilisation from all of their Art series FE lenses. Given the focal the length and cost of this lens, It should have been included. Also, why oh why does it need to be so heavy? Nikon have a similar lens that is much lighter and smaller. The only conclusion is they made it this size because they could. It certainly grabs attention, but the weight does make it less useful than it could have been. |
