Faster than the kit lens

|comment:||Great, fairly sharp lens. Good replacement for the kit 18-70, its streets ahead. Much less CA and much sharper, although stop down to f5.6 or more at the longer focal lengths. Quiet and fast focus operation, does not hunt too much in low light.|
I like the in-lens optical stabilisation the image seems more stable in the view finder. Is it any better/worse than in camera stabilisation ? Not sure.
Lens weight may be a problem for some people. Vignetting not really noticeable to me.
EDIT: After a year or so of using this lens, downgraded its sharpness rating. Mainly due to the soft edges even when stopped down a bit. Wide open images are definitely on the soft side.
