ownership:I own this lens
compared to:- Sony 18-55 SAM
- Sigma 28-70 3.5 UC
- Tamron 28-300 LD IF 72 mm diameter
- Tamron 70-300 LD Di
- Minolta Beercan 28-85
price paid:100 Euro (ebay)
positive:- Good quality
- Nice colors
- Good walk around ranche
negative:- Tempt to hunt with low light, especially when zoomed in completely
comment:Bought this lens to have a good big ranche walk around lens second hand for 100 Euro.

Perfect nice walk around lens. It cannot be compared to the Beercan in sharpness, but as walk around lens really a very good one. I had a 28-300 from Tamron to have a good walk around lens for the zoo or similar, but I sold that one. This is a super one and I’m about to buy the bigger brother the 18-200 as well to replace it just for the ranch, otherwise I would have sticked to this one.
