price paid:au$49 (Pawn shop)
positive:Nothing other than low price. Even with its poor reputation I had hoped for better performance.
negative:The softest and most inconsistent lens that I have owned. Slow and unreliable focusing. Bad distortion and very soft in the corners at all focal lengths. Very prone to flare if the sun is anywhere ahead of you.
comment:I took a chance - it was cheap - but it isn't worth keeping. I am selling it on eBay for whatever I can get. Some Sigmas are brilliant, but many are mediocre. This is one of the latter.
