ownership:I own this lens
compared to:18-55 sam
price paid:
positive:great range nice and crisp images, colour good
negative:slight distortion on right side of lens at 18mm only on a580
comment:this seemed a great lens very superior to kit lens in all aspects however i bought this lens for my a200 and it was brilliant, then i used it on my a450 still working well, now i use it on my a580 and there is a problem i notice now that at 18mm the far right side of the images taken has a curved line that blurs the image on this line,so i tried the lens on my old a450 and the fault is there but hardly noticed and on the a200 it doesnt show i can only think this problem shows because of the sensor size between the cameras.dont know if this is common or not i bought this brand new
