ownership:I own this lens
compared to:24-70 2.8 ZA
28-70 2.8 G
price paid:500 CHF (used)
positive:Fast and silent AF, lovely colors, great IQ, Cheap!!!
negative:No focus hold, focusing-ring-rubber issues!
comment:Sharper than the Minolta
A bit less micro contrast and color appealing than the Zeiss.
A great "cheap" lens that offers "very similar" outcome compared the triple priced zeiss.

From my point of view here is an quick evaluation for the 3 mentioned lenses:

1- Minolta G has warmer colors and the most appealing bokeh though it is slower and noisier
2- Sigma version is faster, silent and sharper with nice overall colors
3- Zeiss is the sharpest with the highest micro contrast and more realistic colors. fast and great IQ. the only drop back is the price!
