- hood is fiddly
comment:Stellar little lens!
It's the size of the 50/1.7.
The quality was weird at first, but then I discovered that the lens only focused to about 10m. So I took it apart and adjusted the mechanical infinity limit. It's now sharp in the centre from wide open! And at F/5.6 or F/8 this lens is corner to corner sharp on film or FF.
It also makes a very good street lens on APS-C, and I really enjoy going on city walkabouts with this lens mounted on my APS-C cameras.
For this price I recommend it to anyone who wants to taste a prime lens. Just make sure that your infinity focus is OK!
