ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Sigma 20mm f1.8 EX DG Asp RF
price paid:70 GBP
Nice colours
negative:The AF on mine sounds like a washing machine washing a bag of spanners.
24mm isn't the most useful focal length on APS-C.
comment:I got this when I didn't have much cash available for lenses. It looks and sounds like a dog but it performs really well.

To be honest it gives my much more expensive 20mm f1.8 a run for its money in image quality.

It is a great close up lens if you don't have a macro for static subjects.

Mine didn't have a hood but have never noticed any flare issues with it. However, I've not really tried to push it to its limits.

If you don't have a lot of cash then this lens is easily worth its modest price.
