comment: | I bought this sleeper lens on ebay when I needed a higher quality lens than my Minolta AF 24-50/4 (which I also use as a kit lens for travel). Mostly needed it for professional-grade candids at events without requiring much correction for distortion or color, mostly used at f8 with bounce strobe on a Stroboframe bracket. As a WA prime lens, it excels and produces really nice contrasty images, even in panorama mode. Since it is really small, it does not attract attention and fits nicely in a small lens compartment in my Domke bag. I have not tried it on a full-frame camera and rarely use it to shoot wide open, but for my purposes, it behaves nicely and requires little in the way of correction. |
